My Bio and Approach
My Approach

My approach to therapy is based on the integration of a Christian worldview with a strong knowledge and theoretical base in academic research. My Masters program focused primarily on Marriage and Family therapy but we also are superbly equipped to do individual therapy. In fact, I think I can make a case that we are better equipped for individual therapy because we always look at our clients in the context of their marriage and/or family.

For most of my work, I primarily integrate the ideas of Emotion Focussed Therapy as well as many of the assessment tools and interventions of Gottman Method of Couples Therapy. While these are my primary conceptual and working tools, I also may borrow relevant elements from other useful therapy approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

My Bio

I graduated in 2009 with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. This was a wonderful program where I learned how to help individuals in the context of their most important relationships. Along with the excellent training, I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.

My undergrad was in Biology, so I have always had a strong interest in life and how living organisms are structured. For some time I followed this curiousity about systems in business and software development. However, after a number of interesting life events I felt led to return to school in order to become equipped to counsel people who were struggling with emotional and relational issues.

I have been married to a wonderful woman since 1999 and we have three beautiful children. We live in the Oxbow, SK area on an acreage in the RM of Enniskillen.
